Clementi · Sonatina in C, Op. 36 No. 1 · First movement

First pages show different selections of the music. Download each complete edition to compare.

100% and 140% are PlayableNotes settings, not percentages of the source. PlayableNotes PDFs omit Spiritoso, the opus number, Piano label and source footer. Cut time appears as equivalent 2/2. Keep the source alongside them.

Bigger notes mean more pages.

At 140%, one source page becomes seven: seven sheets single-sided or four duplexed. Bar 16 sits at the bottom of page 3; the final repeat on page 7 returns there. Choose pages for section practice, keeping another layout for longer runs.

For modest enlargement, splitting the source across two landscape sheets could give approximately 9.61 mm staves on Letter or 10.24 mm on A4. These are layout estimates.

Source, measurements and checks

The source is Brian D. Rude’s public-domain engraving from Mutopia 804. It is preserved in full. This is a worked example, not a customer testimonial. Both new prints use the same 38 checked written bars, 389 note/rest events and both repeats. The original reading’s incorrect 4/4 change at bar 5 was removed before comparison. A separate copy received 140%; the original stayed at 100%.

Staff height measures top to bottom staff line. Source A4: 210 × 297 mm; new Letter: 215.9 × 279.4 mm. This is not a facsimile or page-turn improvement. All seven 140% pages were inspected for clipping and collisions; they have no page-number footer. Physical printing and individual readability were not tested. Landscape estimates use two cropped sections with margins; they are not supplied print files.
