Pricing

Reading a piece of sheet music into a playable score uses credits: 1 credit for each line of music. Every new account starts with 50 free credits, and everything else is free.

What a credit is

One credit reads one line of music: a treble and bass staff played together, from the left edge of the page to the right. A hymn page usually has 4 or 5 lines; a page of piano music usually has 5 to 7.

Each page is counted when you upload it, so you see the number of credits before reading starts. You are never charged more than that, you are charged less if fewer lines are found, and a reading that fails costs nothing. Pages without music are not counted.

What is free

Library pieces, MusicXML files, copies of your scores, practice links for students, playing, printing and downloading, and every change: by hand, with the AI (up to 100 a day), or in ChatGPT.

Buying credits

Credits are sold in packs on your account page, paid by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe, to US billing addresses for now. Sales tax is added where it applies.

Credits never expire. If you have not used the credits from a purchase, you can get your money back within 30 days: write to support@playablenotes.com.

In ChatGPT

PlayableNotes in ChatGPT uses the same account and the same credits as the website. Credits are not sold in ChatGPT; buy them here, on your account page.
