Who PlayableNotes is for
PlayableNotes is a tool for music teachers. It turns sheet music a teacher already has into scores they can play, edit and arrange for their own students.
Music you upload
You may upload only music that you own, or that you have permission to copy and adapt, and only to prepare material for your teaching: your lessons, your students’ practice and your classroom.
Before every upload you confirm this. We keep a record of that confirmation, and of these terms’ version, with the project.
Do not upload music you do not have the rights to use in this way, and do not use PlayableNotes to copy, share or sell music for other people.
If we learn that music was uploaded against these terms, we may remove it and suspend the account that uploaded it.
Your projects
Your uploads, scores and versions are private to your account. We do not publish them or add them to the library.
You keep whatever rights you have in your music; uploading it does not give us ownership of it. Reading the music, simplifying it or changing its key does not change who holds the rights in it, and using the result remains subject to those rights.
To provide the service, we process your music with service providers, including AI providers that read the music, make the changes you ask for and check uploaded photos (OpenAI and Cloudflare).
Deleting a project removes it from your projects. We keep an archived copy that no other user can see.
The library
Library pieces are public-domain works, in editions whose licences allow reuse. The source of each piece is credited on its page.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the version in effect; uploads made after a change are confirmed under the new version.
