Make a closer-position accompaniment study for a student who can play the right hand but loses the waltz pulse during the left-hand leaps. Keep all 44 bars, every right-hand pitch, rhythm, voice, articulation and dynamic unchanged. Keep the left-hand bass then chord then chord quarter-note rhythm and every harmonic change. Reduce the large left-hand bass-to-chord register jumps by moving bass notes up an octave where needed, or revoicing chords nearby without crossing the right hand. Preserve bass pitch classes, harmonic function and important thirds/sevenths; do not simply delete chords. Keep the original key, repeats and form. This is a deliberate study version, not a replacement for Brahms’s original voicing.
